Pam Christie - Institute Director, TAFE NSW - Sydney Institute, In 2005 Sydney Institute enrolled more than 72,000 students, providing industry-relevant skills and knowledge through more than 900 commercial and government-funded training programmes. Pam began her career as a social science teacher and taught overseas in Zambia, Nigeria and Malaysia. She also worked for over 10 years in adult migration education, in teaching, curriculum and education management roles, and is currently a member of the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board, a Director of TAFE Global Pty Ltd and a member of Grow Employment Council.

Mr William Galvin - From the Hospitality Training Industry, Mr William Galvin OAM, Chief Executive of Tourism Training Australia. Mr Galvin’s CV tells you that he has led and continues to lead a very busy life. He began his training in 1965 through the Hilton Chain of Hotels, which took him to Canada, Britain France and Holland. Returning to Australia in 1972 he took a teaching post at TAFE NSW, where, after a range of promotions, he was appointed Head of Tourism & Hospitality Training in 1988.
  During his time at TAFE he took time out in 1977 to complete a Winston Churchill Fellowship in the USA and Europe studying hospitality training, and two TAFE (NSW) Fellowships in Europe and China to further his knowledge of the developing tourism industries in these countries. Between 1992 and ‘94 he was a foundation member of the Sydney Olympic Bid and chaired industry groups in preparation for and during the Games. Who better to represent the Hospitality Industry? Please extend a warm welcome to Bill Galvin.

Brian Wexham - Born in London in 1948, Mr Wexham is an experienced executive and non-executive director with an extensive background in media and advertising, spanning over 30 years. Mr Wexham lived in London, where he spent 10 years with The Times and Sunday Times, in a variety of executive roles, gaining significant operational experience.
  From 1983, he spent several years in Cape Town, South Africa working with their largest publishing company, Media 24, before returning to London in 1986.
  He joined The Observer as a director in 1986 and was also on the main board of the newly launched Today newspaper. During this period in the United Kingdom he was involved in the development of The Observer’s enterprise division which embraced film production, book publishing and the successful launch of new magazine titles.
  In 1990, he moved to Nairobi, Kenya to head up Lonrho, PLC’s East African publishing interests. As Chief Executive he introduced new titles and successfully oversaw the relaunch of both The Daily Standard and the Sunday Standard. He moved to Australia in 1993 where he held executive roles with APN News Media until 2003, and was the Chief Executive of APN Educational Media (Australia and New Zealand).
  He is the author of several books, including the highly acclaimed Shipwrecks (Timmins), as well as being the author of a successful international cartoon strip.
  Mr Wexham was appointed to the position of Chief Executive of The Institute of Trade Skills Excellence in November 2006.
  Mr Wexham also holds several non-executive board positions which include Worldskills Australia, Creative Communications, the New Zealand Stage Challenge® Foundation (Chairman), the Be Your Best™ Foundation in South Africa, and is Chairman of The Australian Children’s Music Foundation.
  In 2006 Brian was appointed to the position of Chief Executive for The Institute for Trade Skills Excellence where he set about to meet his core objectives which included the Annual Trade Teacher Awards, the very successful Star Rating Scheme and the multimedia platform of SkillsOne Television and SkillsOne.com.au.
  He is committed proponent of Vocational Education and opportunities for young people seeking non academic pathways and finding ways to address the skills shortage plaguing so many industrialist nations.

Massoud Matthew Nasrabadi - Mr Nasrabadi is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also has scholarly interest in adhering to high standards of corporate governance.
  He is presently with Vodafone Australia and has held a number of senior roles. Currently he directs the strategy and planning in OSS for Vodafone Australia, and is the ASIA- pacific representative in the Vodafone global steering committee for network and service management. He is a frequent speaker at international telecommunication conferences.
  His prominent history of accomplishments includes key national sales management roles for a number of US companies in Sydney, where he has enabled the top 100 companies in Australia to set new directions in their IT and Technology solutions. He brings to the board over 20 years of corporate experience managing very large accounts from banking to manufacturing. He has also held national consulting roles for over 8 years helping executives adopt and implement IT-based strategies and best practices for clients across multiple industries including: financial services, manufacturing, communications, legal and government.
  Mr Nasrabadi holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Electronics from the UK. He has a Master of Engineering from Australia. He is currently engaged in scholarly work for his PhD with the Department of Finance and Accounting at University of Macquarie in the area of cross-cultural management and international company governance.
